How campaigns work

Signal Crew Guide · Page 3 of 5

Every campaign has a brief. Read it fully, follow it, label your post, submit on time. That's 90% of the job.

Open clipping campaigns

  1. Join the campaign in the app. Check the rate, the minimum views, the cap and the end date before you start.
  2. Download the files from the campaign page. Use only these files, not clips from somewhere else.
  3. Edit your clips. Your hook, your captions, your style. Follow any must-haves in the brief, like the tag or a link in bio.
  4. Post on your own page, with the disclosure label (see page 4).
  5. Submit the link in the app as soon as it's live.
  6. Views are counted. We check views from your insights and our own checks. Bot or bought views are removed, and can get you removed from the crew.
  7. Get paid per 1,000 verified views. Clips below the minimum view count don't earn, and earnings stop at the campaign cap.

Invited assignments

  1. You get an offer with the fee, the deliverables and the dates.
  2. Accept or decline by the deadline. Declining is fine and doesn't count against you. Going silent does.
  3. The brief and files unlock once you accept.
  4. Mark it "In motion" when you start working, so the team knows it's on track.
  5. Send a draft for approval if the brief asks for one. Don't post until it's approved.
  6. Post on the agreed date, with the disclosure label.
  7. Submit the link, then upload insights screenshots at 24 hours and again at 7 days after posting.
  8. Approved, then paid the fixed fee.

Meme and fast-turnaround briefs

These move quickly — sometimes the same day. Because a meme can be read many ways, draft approval always comes first. Send your draft, wait for the OK, then post. Never post a meme for a campaign without approval, even if the trend is fading.

Live event coverage

  1. Accept a slot for the event.
  2. Check in in the app on the day, when you reach the venue.
  3. Upload your raw clips within 2 hours of the end of your slot.
  4. Post your edits as the brief says, labelled, and submit the links.
